VSDC Video Editor comes with features that offer a basic, to an advanced level of editing capabilities, and with the ability to import videos in almost every format possible, it’s a really good software. I’d recommend a dummy project for you to do some trial-and-error editing on, while you’re learning the basics of the software. I had to put in just about 10 minutes of time into the options, to figure out how things flowed. The app comes with some really great features, that can easily handle beginner, to a somewhat advanced editing projects. Add to that the “Get to Know Top Features” pane, and you can quickly learn your way around VSDC.Īs far as features go, VSDC is no slouch. However, with properly named tabs, and well named feature-buttons, just a couple of minutes of looking around are enough to figure out how to get working on your first project. Navigating the VSDC UI is quite the task.
And, for a tool that is free to use (or $19 if you want hardware acceleration, and the works), it’s more powerful than I had expected it to be. What may seem like an unfriendly UI on its face, is actually hiding quite a bit of power. Also, it doesn’t help that the main screen has dedicated equal (if not more) space to the “ Get to Know Top Features” section, as it has to “ Start Project Now” (which is what most people would be interested in).įor what it’s worth, although it may take you a couple of extra seconds to find the options you need to click on, once you get past that, the power of VSDC comes to the forefront. Which is what makes it rather awkward to look at. Hit me up in the comments if you have any specific questions about VSDC and I’ll try and answer them or include the answer in a future video! And don’t forget to grab the Cheat Sheet for getting started with VSDC as well. The application opens up in a window that looks dated, but with icons that clearly implement material design language.
There is a Pro version, which is only 20 bucks (actually, click here to grab the Pro version for half price), and one of the features you get with that is the ability to SEE your audio waveforms, which I went over in the very last tutorial.
But the biggest thing is exporting your video in VSDC.ĭon’t forget, VSDC is a free video editor ( download here), and you can do pretty much ANYTHING with it.
